i found macbeth a very interesting play. I wasnt too pleased to hear that i was going to study macbeth in my year 10 class. but astoundingly i found very clever. i like the way shakespeare uses euphenisms alot and leaves you in alot of suspence at times.
Could you possibly help me with a question on Macbeth;
I know that the witches' power is ambiguous-How much power do they really have?
I would be very greatfull if you could help me with that and i would be more than happy to help you at any time.Please e-mail me with the answer and any queries
yours faithfully
sarah

[email protected]

Of course, Shakespeare was a great writer. I am doing Macbeth for my AS level literature. At first reading, understanding the words is difficult but reading it over and over again will help.

We too are acting out Macbeth at a nearby theater. My first theater act and I get to be one of Banquo's murderers!

Anyway, I'm enjoying it and I am enjoying Shakespeare.

macbeth was a man who was pushed around by his wife .and i find it that he portays that he does not like it, but i bet that deep within him he likes to hide behind her.she can make him feel less of himself than anyone else can. but why not stand up to her? that brings me up to the conclusion that he intends to weaken behind her and self pitty himself.he could stand up to her but he does not: why not though? i suppose it was in a time that men really had no reason to forcefully be true to what they feel.they utterly hide in confusion,disbeleif and misconseption.

I think Shakespeare was a very good writer, not everybody understands his words, but if you understand the basic plot, and most of the section you are reading, you can interpret it.
I am currently studying 'Macbeth' in english for my year 9 SATS and we actually act out the scenes, and that helps!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would LOVE to hear from anybody else who is reading/ studying this play, because I would like to discuss it.

thank you for reading this,
from,
leanne
