Parody Christmas Carrol

Oh, what a night
The children’s choir was singing
Every voice about a note off key—

We had our Christmas play, the wise men started fighting
Until the star fell and shattered on the stage—
A peal of laughter, everyone applauding—
Mary tore her robe and the sheep fell off the stage

And oh, what a night, oh, hear the laughter ringing
Love in every voice, when the play was done
Oh what a night, what a night—Christmas Eve!

It sounds like that Christmas play was very entertaining though it didn't turn out as expected. Nice poem.

A cute comedy of errors! It warms even the miserly hearts! The word "torn" should be "tore" also, you have the past and present tense verbs mixed together. To make it consistent, you might say, "could hear" and "was heard". Anywho I do not wish you hullabaloo in this festive season. Enjoyed your light verse!
