I am not a big fan of Shakespeare, and I was not too thrilled when I had to read Macbeth for my english class. To my surprise, it was better then I expected, it is not my favorite book but it was interesting enough to finish. To me, Macbeth was his wives pawn, he was not totally braindead but not smart enough to realize when he is being played for a fool. His wife, I think, is the strongest motivation for him killing Duncan. For that, I pity Macbeth because he was not as strong as he is sometimes portrayed, and ends up being pushed around by his wife.
