Let's make sandwiches until we die.
We can make every combination
with an egg mayonnaise finale.
Let's see in New year's with me inside you,
we will make love for two years.
Let's not go to work in the morning,
we can build a Lego sky rise,
count how many blue cars pass the house.
I no longer believe the adverts,
the spoken or written words,
my own eyes or ears.
I believe in nothing
and I do not believe in believing in nothing.
What if the people who jump
are the Magi?

Well, Jer, I have nothing against egg salad sandwiches per se, but I would wish that my last taste of food on earth would be something slightly less mundane. BTW which came first-- the mayonaisse or the egg?

I wonder what the Magi had for lunch. Hummus on pita bread? Or maybe some take-out Chinese.

We don't really know very much about the Magi, other than their long, long journey. Also, it's a good bet that they were probably male. That means they would've reached their destination a helluva lot sooner if they hadn't refused to stop and ask somebody for directions.

You / your persona is the most interesting person alive to be with, all the memorable things you say to the other person. Unlike Auntie, sandwich is fine, just don't make me eat the bread…

Also enjoyed the child play of Lego and counting cars. The innocence is a nice contrast. Not so sure about the end though, it's not tying back to what came before, which I really love, or I'm just too dense to figure it out...

One of my favorites here of late.
There must have been a deli on the road.

Yeah, I like it too, and agree with Haunted, I like the contrasting jadedness and innocence.

I like this line:

"and I do not believe in believing in nothing..."
