I liked 1984, because I think it is relatively significant to our society, even today. 1984 is relatively accurate to today's culture. I think the fact that in the book they are constantly under surveillance is important because it's mostly true in our society. 1984 is true in some aspects today, and I think more of the book will become true in the future. Being constantly watched, like Winston and the other characters in the book is how it is in our world. We don't have telescreens yet, but we may in the future. I think 1984 is a great book because it accurately describes our society and the future.
