I found Macbeth a highly entertaining and lively read. From the first minute when we are introduced to the weid sisters to the last when Macbeth is slain by Macduff, it is packed full of interest, excitement, tension, death, supernatural, good and evil. I found the play to be mainly focused around the theme of good versus evil; whether it is right for Macbeth to usurp or whether he would have been better off if he had forsaken is "vaulting ambition" for a more peaceful, life surrounded by friends, which Macbeth himself speaks about.
