ROSENCRANTZ AND GUILDENSTERN # 1

Rosencrantz and Guildenstern
Contrary to the rumour, are not dead
But are doing a Piano cabaret act
On a cruise ship instead

ARE YOU WEARING SLACKS? # 2

Are you wearing slacks?
It’s certainly very casual attire
But not the kind of look
The fashion world desire
But fine for ordinary people
Who don’t set the world on fire

RED ROSE

Red rose carried no blush
She was not an English flower
Red rose was not prettily fragranced
She was not sweet, but sour
Red rose though of English genus
Was a spy for a Marxist power

VESUVIUS

Vesuvius is what
We called my sister Grace
It was because of all the
Eruptions on her face

I STRUGGLE WITH CERTAIN ACTORS

I struggle with certain actors
When giving cinematic recitals
Like De Niro and Pacino
They should come with subtitles

AT THANKSGIVING TIME

At thanksgiving time
Turkeys, will like as not
Do the thanksgiving dance
Known as the turkey trot

ARE YOU WEARING THAT LADY’S FAVOUR?

Are you wearing that lady’s favour?
Well I should tell you sir knight
That if you’re fighting for her virtue
It really isn’t worth the fight

A PAIR OF THERMOMETERS

What is the difference?
Between a pair of thermometers
Take your time don’t haste
One is oral the other rectal
It’s very simple really
The difference is the taste

I liked "ARE YOU WEARING THAT LADY’S FAVOUR?" the best in this set. I didn't expect that punchline.

"The Lady's Favour" is my fave of this bunch as well. I also like R&G, the opening ditty. It speaketh truth: old show biz types never die; they just book gigs on Carnival Cruise.
