Hey guys! I would REALLY REALLY REALLY love some help on the essay I'm writing for English100, The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams. You see, I'm not sure if my thesis is clear and frankly I think my introduction sucks but I just don't know what to fix! I would much appreciate any help, thank you!!!
The characters in the Glass Menagerie such as Laura and Laura’s mother Amanda have viewed Laura’s disability as shameful and insecure. This has led Laura to believe that the world is not accepting. This all changes, however, when Jim comes into her life and treats her disability as something special. Throughout this essay, I will be examining the ways Laura’s disability has been represented as shameful and insecure which has led her to believe the world is not accepting; and then finally being viewed as special which leads her to believe the world is more accepting than she thought.
