Still looking
into your cup
detached
dreams floating
to the top
unremarkable
lilies unfolding.

In the dreary wind
voices
fallen far
but yours is no angel's mouth.

Multiplicity of beginnings of stars
within, they look and laugh
and leave, being nothing, even water
is brighter;

so I carry on
and the road welcomes me
with perfect rain.

It has your usual poetic sensibility. You have a way of grouping words together in, shall we say, a painterly way, Lykren.

I liked the last stanza. Being welcomed by perfect rain seems unusual.

Yes you're a favourite. I liked the format here allowing me to read it in more than one way.

Very kind of you to say that, Delta!

Some of my favorite poets (Stevens, Dickinson) wrote work which lends itself very easily to differing interpretations, and of course I keep them in mind while writing, so it makes sense that that characteristic appears in my poems (though it is surely unaccompanied by such great skill as those masters possessed).
