stutter would exhale

i thought Leningrad
the East
Moulin Rouge
the West
i would travel
the fars with you in my arms
and nothing would at
last
tune perfect till i gasp:
to the rivers the masts
and to you a class
economy would bask.

the third time
we set
together for a bet
to arrange hopes
and roses
together we would
doce
you appeared rather
led
offended
upset
