Our teacher gave us for homework to analyze a poem written by an unknown Baroque poet. It is really hard and deep-minded by my opinion. How is the loneliness alone??? Please help me.

Hope

I am alone,
Alone in the loneliness,
The loneliness is "alone".

Only the spirits circling in the ether whisper to me:
-Oh what is a cold breeze to those who live?
What do we cherish?

Trapped in this pathetic existence,
My only way out is to say out,
loud:
FREEDOM!

I will surmise that there is no existential valve or conduit to alleviate this state of being. It is an unalterable state of existence. Or, it could be a melodramatic play on words-an attempt to express the dark, abandoned state that the author is experiencing.

Sounds more like a poem by an emo teenager. I half suspect your teacher is pulling your collective legs.
