How can you divide the heritage according to someone will?

Someone died and left seventeen camels as a heritage.
The heritage must be divided as the following portions:
1- 1\2 of the camels is the portion of the small son.
2- 1\3 of the camels is the portion of the middle son.
3- 1\9 of the camels is the portion of the elder one.
Make sure no camel will remain after the heritage is divided according to the above method of distribution

I remember my father telling me this one as a story with the three sons asking the local wise man for help. He simply brought his camel and added it to the pool, making 18. 1/2 is 9, 1/3 is 6, 1/9 is 2, totaling 17. The wise man then took his camel back and went home.
