Hi I am a 17 year old guy from the UK.

I recently decided to read classic literature and I have read Lord of the Flies at school which I really enjoyed and I am currently reading Oliver Twist which is really good as well.

I look forward to expanding my horizons in literature and learning more from clever people on this forum, for example I was wondering if Lord of the Flies is considered a classic as it really isn't that old?

Thank you for reading ;)

I think it is, possibly a modern classic. I didn't it see it listed as one Penguin's classic, but maybe he had a contract with another publisher and the copyright has not expired yet. William Golding was awarded a Nobel prize for literature, which would probably help.

Without any doubt it`s very important novel in the history of literature.

What kind of books do you like?
