Tricky Day
It was miserable cold when I woke up, and the sun was so weak, it hid in shame behind the clouds. Some days in SoCal just suck. The romance was going nowhere due to lack of communication, work was a demolition derby of schedules, and coffee a waste good beans on a sleepy head stuffed with defeated-before-you've-even-started attitude.
I didn't want to get up. Why bother? Things always end up wrong anyway.
Then the Who's Tricky Day popped into my head like a therapeutic drug. After listening I decided to grind the Colombian Supremo beans anyway and give them a go. Oh, there's the sun, making a feeble attempt at shining. Smell that coffee? And look there, on the computer screen, why, I've got mail... I've actually got mail, and one's from Her. The Woman! Conan Doyle's and Sherlock Homes and Watson's 'The Woman'.
I have nothing more to say. I've got to get the day on.
