The seasons bear their creed

an organic ode blossoms

a sentient cloak unfurls

to herald the fallen brave

sharing time and space with

the recycled remnants of Nature

On the Spring Equinox

wild flowers blossom above mounds

of seedlings dormant in their prime

exuding a fragrant incense to the

decaying shrouds silting their soil

On the Summer Solstice

fields of amber grain wave

their tassels in the wind

golden pennants salute

the outlines of chivalry

fluttering in the wind

On the Fall Equinox

a blend of savory herbs

season the filtered pulse

of life and the irony blood

stains that embrace, coating

the sacrificial lambs with

an aromatic cloud

On the Winter Solstice

an ivory coat of snow

insulates the last breaths

pumped from the drowning

reservoirs of blood-soaked

lungs that sang the song

of liberty

I like this one V. IMHO I think you can do away with the first stanza since the title says it all.

Thanks for your kind words, Delta40. I would rather keep the first stanza, because it provides an overview, and is an over-arcing umbrella for the seasonal strands in the following stanzas
