What is the shelf-life of my life?
Is the research of this modern day.
Flowers harvested, frozen, stored and spliced
Is a moral dilemma avoiding natural decay.

And I ask:

In the future, what of my soul?
When my days are numbered by the trade,
of how many flowers I have plucked,
and the reserve willing to be paid.

What is the expiration date of my life?
Only God used to say.
Flowers harvested, frozen, stored, and priced
Preserved to be sold for yet another day.

Nice concept and progression of thought. But a bit more grammatical sorting out might be needed .

Grammar is not really my strong suite. I'd be happy to accommodate any suggestions. I'm trying to get into more modern concepts. I feel so stuck in the 1800s. I'm glad you liked it, I thoroughly enjoyed your compilation of your contest poems.

I enjoyed this very much. I especially enjoyed the last two lines of each stanza . great usage of words :)
I also found interesting that you applied a sell by date label to quizz the end of a life. it is very true that we do apply that very much to our products what we eat or consume. labelling and dating must bear an impact on our lives and it feels as though everything is date limited.
another way of showing how in a hurry one is. modern life today is cumbersome and ragged at the same time. I treats time with little consideration. it should slow down a little and think more.
great topic. I really enjoyed this.
I am more into topics in poetry and what they talk about then the actual technical side of it and this one is a little perfect to say the least :)
