The Children

I dont quite understand what the point is of the children. why are they the so called "power"? what is the point of having the children when you have the telescreens and thought police?

The children are indoctrinated to spy on their parents. It's an extra horror. The party distrusts any relationships that are stronger than loyalty to the party, including familyy relationships.

I think that the children are the power because the party has more control over them, they weren't around before the party was in charge so they can not compare the past to the present. The children are feared, they are smarter and more loyal. Also I think they are less likely to rebel, they are the majority of enforcing the laws.
