The second offering reads better than the first. Just a couple of words of advice on which you can sprinkle a sufficient amount of NaCL: bunching seemingly related words together --no matter how interesting they may be-- does not necessarily a poem make. Also, try not to be overly conscious of the fact that you are writing a poem. (See T.S. Eliot's
ideas re: consciousness and unconsciousness in his essay, "Tradition and the Individual Talent.")
