How do you, the author, envision yourself in your work, what role do you play? Are you like a puppet master, pulling the strings of your characters within the narrative frame of the story being told, or are you more like an impersonal god, observing your characters in action, in conflict within and with others in the narrative environment, watching to see if they save or damn themselves?

It depends.
Sometimes I project myself and my feelings into a story.
Other times I just set off on unchartered waters using characters that I have met and observed.
Unfortunately, I start more stories than I actualy finish, but endeavour to come back at a later date to put them to bed.
