I once had a short story that I really enjoyed reading to my kids for Halloween, but I've misplaced it, and don't know the author. I cannot find it online anywhere!
It is mainly dialogue between two people -- one of whom is blind -- about trying to remember what happened that caused his blindness. He remembers that his brother stabbed him with dry corn stalks. At the very end of the story, the second person reveals that he is not someone from the court trying to help him remember, but the brother himself, and he's brought him back to the corn field to kill him. CLIFFHANGER!
Does anyone know what this story is called or who wrote it????
Even if I can't get my hands on it for this year, I'd like to have it for next year.
