Aphorisms by great writer Bernard Shaw open the life wisdom for us , teach the life ..While reading them I am always inspired for thought about different aspects of our life. The great work "Pigmalion" by this famous writer encouraged me for thinking about senses of life…
Said many years ago by professor Higgings with Bernard Shaw lips , the saying "Happy is a man who can make a living by his hobby" has become actual for centuries and has been staying popular nowadays. It can be applied in contemporary meaning. Especially it is very actual for the young people who start thinking about their future life, occupation, profession …
Most of people want to get a profession which would provide the person with poorless existence…But who thinks about sacrifices of time which the person would spend for beloved or hated work. It is clear without doubt that it is much better to go to work with pleasure and come back inspired and happy. Imagine you go to work without pleasure and inspiration , you will see how unhappy you could be. You would spent your precious time for boring work. And the result of this may be the constant depression , unsatisfactoin with yourself and other bad sides of it.
On the bright examples of characters from the great play "Pygmalion" Higgings and Eliza we see that the good results and position in society are possible due to persistant work over himself. And you must really love what you do. So the professor of Phonetics has got position in society, is respected by other people because he is clever, loves his work, is dedicated to it. Wouldn't he be so selfish, he would have a good family as Eliza, the young, skilled,sensible person was able love him.
In her turn Eliza, the ordinary girl from the "dirt" ,as she calls herself ,due to her persistant work, big wish sponges the abilities and skills to behave herself in the noble society. To be respected by others you have to be able to speak properly, to show surrounding people that you are aquainted with Literature, know how to pronounce the words correctly, what to speak about with others….The importance of speech is clear and doubtless.
So the poor girl who became a lady in a short period of time is a model for us that a person with great goals can reach what he or she wants . And it would be beautiful to transform the goal into hobby as it is known that hobby gives you the necessary inspiration most of all.
