Could anyone provide some insight on these two questions and help answer them?

Using at least two works (by Columbus, de las Casas, Cabeza de Vaca, Crèvecoeur, and/or Jefferson) discuss the significance of the land to America.

Using at least two works by Puritan authors such as John Winthrop, Edward Taylor, Mary Rowlandson, Anne Bradstreet, and Jonathan Edwards explore how their work shows their relation to God and shapes their view of the world?

If I had been assigned those questions, then I would have dropped the course. The first one is worse than the second, but the idea that someone would expect anyone to waste his time reading some of those authors is appalling.

Recently I have been forced to read J. Winthrop and it wasn`t pleasant experience:( I read "The scarlet letter", poems by A. Bradstreet and a fragment of Edwards. As you probably know there weas a very strict relation between their world and God. Religion seemed to be the most important thing. However at the same time, they were hypocrites according to me ("The scarlet letter"). Have you read the short story "The minister`s black veil" by Hawthorn?

Best place to go for help and insight is your professor. Asking here for help but posting nothing except the questions you want answered looks more like homework avoidance than anything else. If you just need a nudge, please be more specific about where and why you're stuck.
