does diversity improve a language, English in this case, for the better? or does it slow it down?
for example:
''the more English is used widely, within a non English speakers context, in a literary context, the more exciting the language becomes and the more barriers of understanding are lifted?''
to which extent is this true or not true?
please discuss.

English is being pulled in several directions. In p[art it is being pared down; some regional dialects and accents are disappearing, while the use of English as the language of commerce or education is adding bits. Historically, English has been more open to new words, etc. than other languages. Using English as a lingua franca iss fine, and pieces of English are very understandable, but people shouldn't drop a perfectly good natural language to convert tho English.
Only if the language remains primarily English. Chinese second-language English is not English.

Ok! What is about the second part of your question?
I think it will slow it down! Because the purity of English in this time will be decreased.especially with the Indo-European family, but with those of different culture such as Arabic Nation I think not ...
yes, every language as a result of a multitude communication it will lose something of its purity

All languages are changing. English will probably lose something but at the same time can gain too.

Languages that have diversity have vitality. English is bursting at the seams with the rude health of vitality. If English, like a lot of standardised centralised national languages has lost regional dialects from within the UK it has gained hugely by being spoken so widely in other parts of the world. But I am more concerned with the diversity of different languages which provides human beings with different ways of looking at and responding to the same world
