I'm no good at this stuff. Can I wear a blue shirt with a charcoal-gray suit, or do I need to buy a white one?

it sounds quite cool actually. blue and charcoal is nice. is it for something formal? white is usually a safest be a bit 'obvious' :)

Why not.

I always think it's not what you wear, it's with how much conviction you wear it. Look at people like Galiano. He wears the greatest sh*t you could ever imagine and no-one seems to mind it, so why not a charcoal suit with a blue shirt. White is boring.

Thanks for the input! I should mention that this is for a friend's wedding, and ultra-formality is not necessary.
