Is a perfect world possible?

Imagine you are in the year 1798 and you are Thomas Robert Malthus. The Industrial Revolution in England has only begun a couple of years ago in 1785. Malthus argued in his essay, "On Population" that a perfect world isn’t possible due to the Earth being a set size and the population increasing constantly.
Now, imagine you are Malthus and you have somehow been transported to today, the year 2013. How would Malthus react? More importantly, do you think his argument would change at all? Can an imperfect world become perfect?

wrong thinking. there is never going to be overcrowding if it was then it would have happened by now. people come and go and size is relative to it.

I if I had to I would say my reaction would be the same as it was then. no changes there.
imperfect is people. the world is a better place without some. it would come to it soon enough nothing lasts forever even bad.

i should say that a perfect world is that which cannot be bettered which is not the same i think as a flawless world. The world can always be bettered i think, so may never be perfect, but it can never be flawless

I oppose this opinion and this annihilates the very tempo of evolution. We are evolving, learning, growing at all times and perfection is a misnomer and our situation can never be perfect . This is a utopian state and I cannot imagine about a situation where everything goes at our will. This is a babyish fancy something born of fairytale or mythical things. Real life is full of dillemas
