are you a proud person? why? does your writing make you proud?
could you say proud is snobbish to a certain extent.
proud is an attitude but so is snobbish.
could snobbish be misunderstood for being too proud and so unknowingly overstate it.

I am not so sure whether proud is the same as snobbish. I have always been proud but never snobbish. About writting I don`t know.

I'm humbled by the passion I've for Writing. Yes I feel proud but not hubris.. Thankfully over here, in this forum, I see lot lot more skilled people than I am in writing or in the literature knowledge, that's actually good, because it makes me keep my feet on the ground..
And, I really feel everybody should be really really thankful to their Passion because it gives the extreme happiness one can ever experience in their life. Now, that's is something anybody would want.
I always loved this Einstein's quote: "If you want to be truly happy in life, tie it to a goal, not to people or things."
And that's what I meant too.

I think I am proud (of myself in general, not writing specifically) but not so proud as to seem arrogant or snobbish.

It's almost always the privileged people who are most proud and I don't see the point of this pride. Are they proud of being endowed with something because of luck/fate? intellect, beauty, and even kindness upto a certain extent are all privileges.

I'm often prideful. I don't like it. I'm not prideful in my work, but I'm a bit full of myself at times.

I take pride in my work, but it's of a very quiet kind. I don't like 'blowing my own trumpet' in any way - I've always thought that modesty was a very positive character trait.
