Nibble away at the last pages
of a whodunit will you?
you do the bunny flop
with one good ear
for listening.

Binking through your kingdom,
thumping would be leaders
as black as Nero,
snuggling into Banana Muffin.

Your life twitching away
under a glaring light
in the middle of the night
Now who will be king?

Excuse my humor in this serious matter, but it seems this old one should have already nibbled completely. Now what we need to do is maybe condemn it to 100 years of Cacian Perpetua.

cacian perptua? I am sorry to disappoint you cafo but cacian only traces perpetua to run it out prolonging it would cheating. and I do not cheat. :)

interesting piece and fun too as always :)
I liked the way it ends on a question mark. cool piece.

An ode to a dead pet? What is binking, or is it a typo?
A deltaesque tribute indeed :)

Binking is a crazy rabbit jump

That's why it's only a century, to make sure at least one rabbit comes, flops and breaks its spine.

Cafolini, excusing your humour is not acceptable so if you're not reviewing my work, bugger off.

Why re-viewing when viewing is enough?

Why can't Cafolini give a straightforward review? If she doesn't like Light poems, then she should not condescend. I love the quirky, light nature of this poem. Keep writing delta40, if not just to spite the dull-witted Cafolini.

I just hope my daughter hasn't visited the thread yet. It was her rabbit which passed away.

All you have to do is read the title to know somebody's little furry pet died. I hate when that happens, and the smaller they are, the fewer years they seem to have on this planet. Requiescat in pace, Nibbler. Well done, Delta. Light poems have to have a particular touch for me to enjoy them; I'm not always sure what that is, but this brings a bit of a smirk to my face. You seem to be treading a line between facile and matter of fact in this instance, not a particularly easy feat.
