I stay the night being the woman I am.
Busting the days I live,
Searching a driblet of heed
I don't feel an ounce of pain
But the pleasure of talk is stout,
Intrepid than your love,
Audacious than your path.

I stay the night creating words,
Waiting for the sun to wake up again
Wanting your morning miss.
You flood your bed with water and sigh
I ask for something better
You deny.

I can't dream, I fancy ill
Wouldn't want to hurt your eyes,
Wouldn't cry.
I can annihilate my sleep,
if its the cause.
I can erase these letters,
if it's for us.

You accuse me, I do the same.
I accuse you, you take the blame.
Ask me if its love,
I cant answer
It's wrong we know,
But we won't surrender
Is there a way?
'No' is what you say.
Let's just wait for a better day.

I love your first line and I also like what your poem is saying about the miscommunication of people who think they're in love.

Brilliant poem. It really captures the inherent conflict and odd compromises found in any long term relationships.
