Letting loose a deep breath as he exited the building after a long day, he glanced across the area. Looking right past the common high school rabble, someone in specific caught his attention. She seemed as if she was only a faint memory, the kind you shove and beat back into the darkest corners of your mind hoping to forget. The jet black gleaming, elbow length hair, the blood red lipstick, the sinister smile drawing back the lips that concealing perfectly white teeth. It was clear she wasn't who she said she was. Black and red smoke trailing from a small blade solidified his suspicions. Found, made, caught, however you say it it's all the same. As she passed she stopped and he felt a sharp pain in his abdomen.
"We're a few thousand years old for this place aren't we?" She said. "Hiding among the young, you are pathetic, Angel." He could feel the blood rising out of his throat and trickling down his chin. She kissed him on the cheek and kept walking. The blade slid out with a hiss, taking his very soul with it. He fell to his knees, then to his chest. As soon as he hit the ground his body turned to a golden mist and made the Great Ascension.
