The boys kiss the boys
And the girls kiss the girls
As the race grows old.
The horse with the brown
And Billy won't slow down
Whilst the beers are cold.
The grown ups are the kids
And the kids watch the porn
As the swing stays still.
Daddy drinks with friends
And mummy takes the pill
That makes the eggs feel ill.
The screen lights the face
Whilst the fingers tap the board
And the person dies.
The sunshine glows alone
And the air is full of flies
As we trade goodbyes.

It's a sky perfect day today
Planes are striping the blue in celebration.
Beside the lake where the shopping trollies float
Where the oil makes a rainbow
And the tin cans make a moat
I breathe in the loss,
And feed the daily bread,
To the ducks.

My park is empty. Another wonderful glimpse from your microscope.

Love
Feed the daily bread,
To the ducks.... quite rye; but seriously -
feeding ducks bread can cause a serious malady
... but you knew that, you poet you.

The beauty and accuracy of your descriptions leave me breathless. And wishing it was me who wrote these lines…
A beautiful poem indeed, J.

One of the many things I like about your writing is your observations and how you take us filtered through your thoughts, when it surprises, charms and shocks, encapsulated in "Where the oil makes a rainbow". Also love how you opens it.
