I only know of two Swiss painters, but both are extremely good in my view. One is H.R.Giger, the other is Paul Klee.

Klee is one of my favorite artists of all time, and currently my favorite expressionist painter.

Some of his work:

As for Giger, the following is my favorite work of his:

-You can suggest other Swiss painters of note, or discuss the paintings of the two mentioned.

Among other Swiss artists I know of there are:

Arnold Böcklin:

Böcklin was a Symbolist/Expressionist known for his dark psycho-sexual themes... as in the painting, The Plague.

Ferdinand Hodler:

Hodler was another of the same school as Böcklin

Felix Vallotton:

Vallatton was associated with the French "Nabis" group which included artists such as Pierre Bonnard, Maurice Denis, and Edouard Vuillard. He is especially admired for his woodblock prints.

Jean-Étienne Liotard:

Liotard was a rather eccentric figure active during the Rococo period. He is especially admired for his marvelous pastel paintings.

Alberto Giacometti:

Giacometti made a name for himself as a leading sculptor among the Surrealist movement. His Expressionist/Existentialist paintings and sculpture from after WWII, however, established him as one of the leading artists of the century.

Méret Oppenheim:

Oppenheim was even even more intimately associated with the Surrealists, known for her photographic work wit Man Ray and her poignant Surrealistic objects... such as her Le Déjeuner en fourrure.

Jean Tinguely:

Tinguely was a painter and sculptor best known for his kinetic sculptural work.

I'm drawing a blank on painters exclusively.
Charles-Édouard Jeanneret-Gris is best known for his architectural accomplishments, but he also dabbled in painting in the Cubist manner.

Though not a painter, Herbert Matter comes to mind as a notable Swiss Graphic & Poster Designer and Photographer.
