Well, I didn't want to call it a haiku as some of the more pedantic members may have jumped in and said 'But it doesn't include a seasonal reference!!!'

It would be terrible if there was a closed season for skateboarders! I mean, it's traditional not to hunt them on Christmas Day, but any other time they're fair game :D

Not to be overly pedantic, but it is a senryu. Of course senryus have the same form, but deal with human emotions/nature. It has the nice ironic twist that many senryus have. I enjoyed the simple, but effective message that this poem relayed.

There isn't the slightest doubt that this was written "from the heart," but a fall off a skateboaard often makes a less romantic part of the anatomy smart.
