Interesting: Ghaita - Musical instrument of the Middle East.

Found these pictures http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://www.belly-dance.org/instruments/Mizmar-zurna.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.belly-dance.org/mizmar.html&h=483&w=600&sz=67&tbnid=vzwGGQJ4n6Ql-M:&tbnh=90&tbnw=112&zoom=1&usg=__fVSia7BhfAQRerDQtEe57ZOukK0=&docid=Sdr6-PbH23WfkM&sa=X&ei=otsTUueVGYmAygG90YGABw&ved=0CIEBEPUBMAw&dur=1667

... and a reference to an orchestra leader who asked an oboe player to play with the reed pushed further in his mouth to emulate a ghaita. Also a ghaita was purportedly used in The Lord of the Rings movie in the theme for Mordor.

"The sound of laughter"
and the notes are either
a beautiful cipher
or a typical hyper - how delightful!

Ta ! (short for tarradiddle),
