I cast my gaze across the land.
My clairvoyancy knew no bounds.
Cities of forests lay beneath me.
I searched for the one in the crowd.

I found a tree in the center
It’s soul beat out to me.
The tallest of the forest.
1 full tree taller than all others.

Visions of a journey to the base of the tree.
What lies there now awaits for me.

I tried but I found it pretentious. I admired the closing lines all the same. The title is awful.

Thank you, this is a poem based on a powerful individual so pretentious is something I'm proud of.

What do you mean by the the title being awful? Does it just not coincide with the poem in any way?

Hows
"My journey to the tree"
"The tree"
"I long to see what's near this tree"
