I'm following. It's a good idea. Are you going to comment or make links to related sites, ideas and issues too?

Boy, Scher, you are cutting edge! I don't have a twitter account. I've never seen the point of it. What is the point of it, exactly?

Following :)Thank you :)
Boy, Scher, you are cutting edge! I don't have a twitter account. I've never seen the point of it. What is the point of it, exactly?I don't use it for personal messaging either; however, it is a convenient and easy way to reach people and let them know what is happening on the Forum if they have been away for a while. Even on here, I have to message everyone individually to get their attention to a discussion or competition while on Twitter it can be done with one single tweet... Provided that people are connected :)

I use mine to show things I'm selling and videos I'm uploading on Youtube. It is amazing. I put something up on ebay, and three seconds later it already has 19 views. So if anyone follows me, be warned that is what I primarily use twitter for. Twitter is safer than Facebook. I used to do Facebook, but my email accounts were always getting hacked.

I've been pondering whether to join Twitter... not that I don't already have enough methods of procrastination already...
...I must admit, I've always wondered about the point of Twitter. It is basically like sending a text to the universe and hoping someone cares.

And there I was, believing myself to be the only person in the world who thought that way :D

It is basically like sending a text to the universe and hoping someone cares.isn't it the same with posting on a Forum? I still get surprised at times when someone reads something I have written and reponds.
What's more, people do care :-)
Sadly, blocked in China. They are not unfair businessmen here - they just make a knock off of everything and ban the international competition from competing for the world's biggest market. No, it's a security issue, not a money issue - Twitter, Facebook, Search Engines, Videos, Music, even apps - these are security issues, not unfair tradition.

I've had an account for a while just to read what selected people say, but I think it does add a little more of a sense of connectivity. I did the first tweet this morning on the bus to one of Scher's tweets. Good fun really.

Just a quick way of sending/receiving reminders and keeping in touch with like-minded people.

Any "twitterquette" suggestions?
For example, do you follow people who start to follow you out of courtesy?
