Hey guys I'm new to this site. Have no idea what to do but I know for sure I'd be grateful if you could help me find the name of this novel :) link is below
It's set in 1930s about a tall plain woman. Her father meets a handsome rich young man and strikes a deal with him. The deal is to marry his daughter however he has to court her first. He courts her and she falls in love with him.
Later he loses all the charm when they reach his home and he tells her to sleep in a separate room. After a while he starts to visit her at night.
His father returns home from a vacation with a wife who is younger than the female protagonist. The son starts to like her and eventually seduces her leaving her pregnant. Then his father dies and he kicks his fathers widow out.
His wife has kids. However all of them die in tragic accidents, it is implied this is because of her husband's misdeeds
