Hi! So this is an introduction, right? So I get to talk about me for a bit, right? COOL!
About me:
*18 years old
*English major (Emphasizing in creative writing)
*Favorite genre: fantasy fiction
*Least favorite genre: self help (does that even count as a genre of literature?)
*Favorite author as a child: Tammora Pierce - I have to say, I read ALL of this woman's work and I loved all of it. I fell in love with every single one of the characters and I was SO sad when I had to leave them behind. I used to fill up journals with what I now know is fanfiction. I was absolutely enamored with these books.
*Favorite author now: Edgar Allen Poe, just because he is a badass. Now, don't make me pick a favorite story or book or anything beyond that because I just can't. :P
*Favorite word: Indeed.
*Favorite TV show: Doctor Who
So there's a list of things about me. I will also say that I am a writer and I take it very seriously.... Sometimes. :P Today, I was at WalGreens and there was a Sharpie display with a large pad of paper where you could test out the multitude of colors. Being the dork I am, I left three short poems on one paper. None of them were straightforward and they were all influenced by the music that was playing in the store. The last one was really good, but I decided to not take a picture of the paper with my cell phone. I'd just leave the paper there for someone else to find. My hope is that someone read them and enjoyed them, but honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if some preteen came in, saw the filled up sheet, ripped it off, crumpled it up, and kicked it under the isle-thingy.
I suppose this is a very long, windy, and possibly unnecessary introduction into myself. :)
