I don't know if anyone will understand this but it is a thought that to me makes sense; in relationship to life. You may have to read this twice to understand.

Life is like ….. When you put your three best bras in the wash on a delicate cycle and they come out tangled up. You have to ask yourself how they managed to twist and twine the straps around each other in such a fashion that it takes you longer to unravel them then it took them to get there. Then you have to smooth out the straps and don’t forget the label; shape the cups and make sure the part that attaches to the other is flat….so when they dry they are comfortable. Yes, life is like washing bras together and then adjusting to make the outcome livable.

Life is like washing bras? That may be so for one gender (and a few representatives of the other who are their family's designated laundrypersons or female impersonators who do their own costume maintenance.)

On a practical note, I believe there can be found bags made of a soft mesh in which delicate garments can safely withstand machine-washing.

As a metaphor for the human condition, I'll have to ponder your premise. I've always stood with the philosophical school which maintains that the certainties of life are death, taxes, and dirty dishes, to which we can now add slightly-soiled lingerie.

Dear AuntShecky...thank you for having the wits to respond! It is not about washing bras as much as it is about the outcome. Simple things are no longer simple. You wash some special lingerie and everything becomes a mess. My message was..even the simple things in life can turn into more than you expect.

Life is lived with trouble running along side.

BTW....I'll look into those mesh bags!
