Depends on the subject of my thoughts. I am optimistic about myself, my life, but pessimistic about certain aspects and prospects of the world at large. There is good and also bad in everything. We suffer and we smile in perpetual cyclicality, being immune to negativity or incapable of positivity are both forms of unrealism in my opinion.

I'm a optimistic pessimist. It will all go badly wrong sometime, but in the meantime I might as well enjoy it.

From my point of view, we are all born here to make our world(s) in this way or another. Depending on our acceptance of the state of things found or disagreemint with it, we build our nature enjoying in different things. Some people enjoy being pesimistic, some enjoy being optimistic. I don't understand the former ones. :)
