hey guys, sorry if i'm in the wrong place, but i remember reading this short story long ago when i was in school and something (i don't know what) just reminded me of it. i was hoping you guys could help me find the name and/or author of this short story.
its about this shy girl (and i think she might be new at the school and is just sinking in the social system or something) and she has a (cold and/or heartless) drama teacher (not usually pleased with anything/much). the teacher asks the students to one by one come up to the stage and scream as realistically as they can. shes not pleased with anyone's screams except when the mentioned shy girl gets the stage. she lets go of everything and all her fear and anxiety and screams as loud and realistically as she can. the teacher is stunned and just frozen. i remember the teacher (or maybe the shy girl, but i'm pretty sure its the teacher) has blue eyes.
everything i'm not sure about i put in a bracket. stuff not in the bracket could also be off but i'm pretty sure its not. its been years since i've read this short story and i really wanna read it again so i hope you guys could help me find it
