I was dragged into it haha i had no choice still i am glad i saw it i guess to make sure. i guess it is impossible not to see it because it has so much media advertising. :)

I am pleased with being Slytherin. I just knew it was going to happen. They represent honor, loyalty, and a little bit of darkness. Which, suits me, so, yeah.

I was sorted into Ravenclaw. I very much wanted to be a Hufflepuff, but every single Sorting Hat quiz I've taken so far has put me in Ravenclaw. In the quiz I knew I should not have chosen to save Merlin's 2000 year old book instead of Dumbledore's Dragonpox cure, but I had to be honest! Like Jane Austen's Emma Woodhouse, I have to say, "There is no charm equal to tenderness of heart...I have it not." :D

As a break from this, I decided to play.

First: registration. Basically they tell you they will flood you with spam from both Potter related crap, as well as their sponsors. Probably most kids don't uncheck the box that says I want the sponsors to flood me with ads (including sony).

Next we have a nice classic:

Congratulations!
You are magical
List of magical folk

Jonathan Ben-Israel
Harry Potter
Ronald Weasley
Cho Chang
Hermione Granger
Vincent Crabbe
Neville Longbottom
Luna Lovegood

Draco Malfoy
Padma Patil
Pansy Parkinson
Parvati Patil
Ginevra Weasley
Oliver Wood
Fred Weasley
George Weasley
Lee Jordan
Lavender Brown

Ooh I made it! yes I am magical with all my favorite characters. Seems appealing to a 3rd grader or younger maybe, but for myself, it's embarrassing to take myself seriously doing this, but what the hell.

After compromising my email, I have become: AshFlight17461. basically the first on the list, they were all equally as bad.

After some fumbling, I figure out you need to go to the vault, then buy a pet and a wand before you can go to the sorting. another boring step, loaded with self-loving ads for the books and guides to purchase ebooks.

""The gold ones are Galleons... Seventeen silver Sickles to a Galleon and twenty-nine Knuts to a Sickle, it's easy enough." So typically British in the weird and uneven divisions of things. We can thank the French for curing most of us of the hideousness of such a joke, even if here it is tongue-and-cheek, it is I guess a quite satire on the ridiculousness of farthings and tuppence and whatnot.

Then I bought the ginger cat because it was cheap. That people find this fun is ridiculous. Then I went through the annoying process of Wand buying, with the tedious background music on constant loop. Height, eye color, even or odd-day birthday, then character traits. I picked originality because I thought the picture was ok.

Then I chose right toward the castle for my direction. Not sure why. Small spaces next for my fear. Then I chose the bound up scroll because I am a medievalist.

ASH WITH PHOENIX FEATHER CORE, FOURTEEN AND A HALF INCHES, BRITTLE

So I am long, and passionate, but I guess thin, and weak. Thanks. I would have preferred 10 inches and strong (like an arm). But hey, what can I do. It must have been the damn scroll that I chose. Stupid scroll. Next I will take the dagger.

Now 20 seconds of some blonde woman (J. K. Rowling?) telling me the hat will sort me. I prepare myself for more unimportant questions. this is dehumanizing.

Slytherin supposedly, but I didn't get half the things I was choosing. What do the directions right and left have to do with anything? silly game.

What a waste of time. My god, what is the target age for this garbage? It's not even interesting. And to think they expect me to play more? Are they crazy?

I went to this site and took a long test. I scored the same for both Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff, but it said I was Ravenclaw.

http://www.personalitylab.org/tests/ccq_hogwarts.htm

Then I went to this site and took a truly terrible test, but I got the answer I wanted, which is that I am Gryffindor:

http://www.allthetests.com/quiz28/quiz/1279397902/Which-Harry-Potter-house-are-you-in

And this one, which I also didn't like, but which also said I was Gryffindor:

That is both hilarious and a trifle ironic that JBI and Lokasenna took the test. That JBI is Slytherin and Loka and papaya are Hufflepuff does not surprise me at all. You could have saved yourself some trouble there, JBI, if you'd just asked me. :D (Actually, on second look, did you take the test, Lokasenna?)

I got Slytherin too!

Congratulations! You are a Slytherin! Severus Snape is the head of your house and The Dark Lord was once a Slytherin just like you
You are cunning and ambitious.

Please don't judge me guys, I have a good soul! :D

No, I didn't - although I'm probably a Ravenclaw, let's just say that Hufflepuff continue to have my loyal sympathy.

That was hilarious Loki. I confess that this seems to be rather a fun activity, but I've been put off taking any of the tests because I don't want to waste my time filling out long questionnaires, but primarily, because of JBI's description of all the twaddle that goes with it. I don't want to be bombarded with silly nonsense and listen to the diva of demons giving me a lecture. If anyone can point me at the least tedious of the sites I might give it a visit later when I'm not busy with something important like smoking a ciggy or drinking a cup of something nice. Let's see - Going to the lavatory or discovering what kind of wizard I'd make... Hmmm, that's a toughie :D

Now a site which told you which Roman Emperor you'd have been would be quite educational. I wonder if I'd be Marcus Aurelius or Gaius Julius Caesar Augustus Germanicus: there's a dilemma!

Gryffindor. Does that mean I'm a main character?

I actually like the "left or right," "do you like water" test. The one Qimi linked is too much like the hour long, ten-page personality profile they give us at the start of psychology courses so they can sort us into research groups. My eye twitches any time someone asks me to rate on a scale of one to nine how characteristic a certain behaviour is to me.

What's a little eye twitch when it comes to a deeper understanding of one's character, I ask you? :D

I'd say the eye twitch was pretty revealing in itself. I mean, there you are on your first serial killing of psychologists, and your eye twitches. You're aware of it, now what does that tell you? lol
