View Full Version : Temporary Insanity

Rumbling within mind,
magnetic waves
rush from epicenter
loose surface cracks
fault lines open
Internal compass
spins wildly from
pole to pole;
bipolar lens
skews landscape
Refracted beams,
blipping pulses:
Eyes twittering,
flicker helplessly
As shutters in wind,
flapping listlessly
Lips quivering,
stammer uncontrollably
As defective air valves,
open, close frantically,
hot gasses escape
Chattering teeth,
caught in a vise
plates grinding
rims shattered
Gaunt face recedes,
tremoring limbs hover
Seismic nerves ascend
through jolted spine,
shock waves disburse
Trembling hands quake;
Vibrating knees knock,
Warning light
flashing red
signals blown circuits,
approach with caution

Bipolar is an obsolete name. It's utterly multipolar. But that's a good one: approach with caution. LOL

Bipolar lens figuratively described the mentally-altered state of the person. Their eyes parse a surreal, frenzied picture. Thanks for reading and commenting on my poem. Do you think that it can be used in a figurative manner?

As long as you stay away from that idea of the feminine point of view, which is ridiculous, yes. But using the word multipolar will be more figurative and accurate. The last line is very good.

I will try and stay away from the feminine point of view. Thanks for your opinion. I value it. I am a history major, and I took graduate courses on the Civil War. I have, also, read literary anecdotes, and viewed journals and polls from other wars. On the whole, the female view of war was different than the male view of war. If I offended your sensibilities, then I am sorry.

Of course a woman's point of view in not the same as a man's point of view. But what you think is the feminine point of view is a bunch of BS.
Besides, there were many many women soldiers. Shape up or succumb to idiocy. You have no alternative when it comes to this. Good luck. As Highway would say in Heartbreak Ridge, 0600. Ok?
