What is it illegal to call a pig in France?
Apparently Napolean. It was never removed the statute book.

I wonder if that caused a problem with the French translation of Animal Farm.

There was a problem with AF - not from a legal view, however - and you can't call your pig Francois Hollande right now, but Jeeves is wrong.
