I wrote this poem when i was 15 years old (28/8/06). We had just moved out from my fathers house and were staying at a friends house. We had nowhere to live, and I had a sudden flare of inspiration and sat down and wrote this poem without coming up for air.

:biggrin5:

My house is all lopsided,
my garden's full of sinks,
the garbage men never come,
and the leaking sewage stinks.

The frames don't fit the windows,
and the roof's just one big hole,
but this is my pride and joy, you see,
There's just no place like home.

The cupboard doors and non-existant,
the plug is missing a bath,
nothing here is fire resistant,
but we always have a laugh.

The town is twenty miles away,
the road is a pot holed track,
but all of this is mine, you see,
there's just no place like home.

My house has no heating,
my tables have no legs,
meals i cook on a campfire,
my curtains are held up with pegs.

My house is full of years of junk,
my backdoor needs a lock,
but this is all i want, you see,
there's just no place like home.
