Hello Everyone,
I was hoping someone could assist me in remembering the name of the author and/ or the short story I am trying to remember. Around seven years ago, when I was in my English 102 class, one of my favorite professors fortunately had us read a lot of Poe and Le Fanu. It was a great class. We read a lot of the horror genre. For the life of me, I cannot remember the short story or author he had us read around the same time as Le Fanu. I believe it was a short story about bringing a man back from the dead via hypnosis to explain what had happened to him. The theme was definitely a man returning from the dead for a short period of time.
Does anyone happen to know anything about this short story? I have tried looking through my old syllabus and old course work for the course, but cannot find anything. Sadly, I cannot find the story either. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!
Speaking of Le Fanu and the horror genre. Does anyone have any recommendations for anything along the same grain? I remember feeling so enthralled in the Le Fanu short stories and I was hoping for a similar feeling. Thanks!
