Hello everyone,

Luckily for me, I’ve just discovered this very interesting and exciting forum. I feel I’ve been searching for a site like this most of my life, and I am beyond ecstatic to have stumbled upon it. I’m so glad to have found a place to read/converse with like-minded literary fans. I’m really looking forward to sharing, and even more so, listening and reading what you all have to say.

On a side-note, a couple of years ago, to my absolute delight, I found out I am related to Alfred Noyes. There is someone in my family who is deeply involved in our ancestry, and when I contacted him on a hunch about relation to Alfred Noyes, he told me the relation was indeed true. Needless to say I am thrilled beyond belief! Does anyone know of him, or is anyone a fan?

Thanks and I’m looking forward to joining the community! Speak with you soon!

I own a signed 1925 first edition of Alfred Noyes' "The Book of Earth" that's been passed down to me
from my grandmother. What relation are you to him? "The Highwayman" is my favorite of his. Van Gogh's
"Starry Night Over The Rhone" is what I am seeing for your profile pic as well as your avatar. I don't see
a personal profile pic of you...is that what you meant? Welcome. It's a pleasure to meet a relation of Alfred Noyes!

I am very jealous! That is very awesome! I wish I knew my exact lineage, and that was my first question to my cousin when I found out of our relation. He told me he couldn't be positive about the exact relation, just that we were related. I actually have my eye on his first edition and inscribed autobiography, however, it is a bit too pricey for me right now. Have you ever heard The Highwayman set to music by Phil Ochs? It is pretty cool. It's great to find a fellow Noyes fan. Glad you responded to my post. Looking forward to chatting some more. By the way, thanks for answering my questions on my profile pic and avatar.
