How many of you visit other people's Facebook even if they are not your friends? I started to realize that I spent too much time on looking at someone else's Facebook when I was in high school.

No, I've never done this. Anyone out their who looks at other people's Facebook page? (kudos for the confession though, not many people would admit That)

Nah, I don't either. There is maybe one person I am interest on creeping in their page and I can access all the info, so it is no fun LOL! PLus most people lock up there pages, so you can't see much. Oh and by the way, was that the question?

That would be about as interesting as reading Kim Kardashian's Facebook page

I don't have a FB account but when my daughter left hers open I had a peak at my ex's - but only that once and it was sooooo dull.

Are you asking whether we look at the walls of people with whom we are not friends on facebook? I don't do that very often but once in a while yeah. I don't find facebook entertaining at all anymore and now use it almost exclusively to private message people, which is a convenient feature as I no longer have a cell phone.

Darcy are you saying you have not got a mobile phone?
oh I do not have a FB account either. The best I have ever done I think ;)

One of my friends doesn't have a phone, facebook, or email address... He claims it has left him much more relaxed in life, but it makes it a nightmare trying to organize things... Plus it also left him in a spot of bother when he got mugged. 'Give us yer phone', 'I don't have one', 'What do you effing mean you don't have a phone' *punch*

I cancelled my cell phone plan. I realized that I got by just fine without one for 20 years and that the things are entirely unnecessary. It puts me at somewhat of a social disadvantage but I don't really care.

Sorry to interrupt your Luddites Anonymous meeting,:) but it is very normal to "creep" someone's FB page. I don't do it on a regular basis, but in the past have checked out someone I was interested in as well as checking up on an ex or just idle curiosity about someone. I just don't believe that anyone that has a FB account never checks anyone else's page, especially if they're single and are interested in that person. Anyone on these sites understands the limits of their privacy and should also know how to lock down the information they don't want anyone but their friends to see.

After seeing this thread, I immediately checked out a couple of old girfriends' facebook pages. Thanks for reminding me.

Unfortunately, none of them seem to be pining away. Given what they've lost, their recovery has been nothing less than remarkable.

I could not but agree with that comment of yours.

Surely the word 'creeping' implies consistently checking out a particular person, rather than occasionally looking at a friends page.

Of course but many dont like or rather would not accept lest it gave someone to think/say negative about their character.

well I would not really call it creeping if it is there accessible then expect it to be looked at it is difficult not to when it is there.
the other thing privacy on a forum website is hard to get since it is the internet. one does not expect to be not looked at. anything private must remain outside the internet surely. FB is anything but private.

http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Facebook%20creeping

"Facebook Creeping

An act in which one looks at a friend's/stranger's facebook profile, pictures, and recent activity. Everyone denies their involvement in this act (when in reality most people do it when bored), then in turn accuse someone else of doing it later."

I’ve Facebook account, but I don’t bother to see other people’s profiles, not even my friends. I just take a quick look at my friends’ walls when I had to post a message, that’s all. I don’t think many people are interested to see my FB profile either.

Their wall and their profile are the same thing...?

I use facebook for messaging and playing poker(application), but I find the wall postings pretty banal.

If everyone was as "awesome" as they are on Facebook North America/England, then the the $20 billion dollars spent per year on anti-depressants is working!-and that's pretty awesome..

My facebook doesn't have much to creep, it's pretty much just my friend Steve posting quips and my mom asking me if I've died. I like that other people are so eager to share though.
