For years I have been trying to track down a short story that I read in high school in the mid-90s, but I can't remember the title. It was about a man, I think a salesman, who was driving all day. When the story starts he is driving down a wide road on a bright, sunny day. As the day continues the road gets narrower and narrower, its condition deteriorates, and the man grows more and more tired. I remember it as one of the scariest short stories I've ever read. Any idea what it's called? Thanks in advance for any help.
