In the spawning spring of love, two roses bloomed
Availing rains filtered into the branching roots
Silted conduits fertilized physical growth
Spurting shoots, blithe hearts probed social milieu
Cupped buds sealed in the deeper, emotive strain
Under the sun's fawning lamp incubating affection
Melded scent of oily petals in Flora's gilded bower
Carefree, bridging stems with runners climb frilly lattice

Into summer's maturing season, waxy roses row
By day:
Green sleaves wrapped in thermal blanket
At night:
Thirsty palates cooled by the frothy dew
Burgeoning stalks twining in the noonday sun
Taut fibers nurtured by Nature's, virile cycle
Tender thorns, baby spurs, untested wills sidling
Shedding fledgling petals, a harvest of mellow hips

Summer's harvest soon devolves into chilling Autumn
Signs of discontent brim from de-cloaked mound
Cooling hearts bring surface strains to the fore
Sun's, slanting beams no longer penetrate tight seams
Frosty tides shiver the morphing, tender, drying roots
Aggrieved egos, as rustled leaves, crash to the ground
Fertile, chlorophyl visages now weathered masks
Summer's deep, milky vein strains mildewed juices

Remaining, limp crest recedes into the arms of winter's, long chill
To the cluttered, barren hearth, nutrient-rich channels closing
Unbalasted stalks flounder about in a directionless wind
Endless, chilly nights, separated from warming touches
Once colorful, healthy guise, spun into dull, stale shroud
Spring's, promising dreams are rotting leaves on fallow ground
Stabilizing, stationary goals, as dander, are callously released
Two, shriveled roses baring, then pairing, the blight of neglect
