Old Ma was gay
Old Ma was a woman
Old Ma was in the 40’s

Old Ma didn’t know 5 was odd
Even odds couldn’t crush my Old Ma

I don't want critique for this poem, I just want to share it. Any stylistic critique of this poem will be completely ignored either way. It is too personal and even though I am straight, the passing of gay rights in San Fran means too much to me to care about the nitpicking of grammar/specifics. This, to me, is a step in the right direction.
